About
Independent research.
Authoritative intelligence.
Cyber Acumen is an independent cybersecurity research consultancy dedicated to understanding the evolving threat landscape — from nation-state actors to AI-powered attack vectors and emerging technology risks.
Our mission
Turning intelligence into preparedness
The cybersecurity landscape is shifting faster than most organisations can track. Frontier AI models are being weaponised. Supply chains are being compromised at scale. Emerging technologies are introducing attack surfaces that defenders haven't yet mapped.
Cyber Acumen exists to close that gap. We conduct deep, independent research into the threats that matter most — and translate complex findings into clear, actionable intelligence for security leaders, policy makers, and technology teams.
Our work is vendor-neutral, technically rigorous, and focused on the horizon — because the best time to understand a threat is before it arrives.
Mission statement
"To research, analyse, and communicate the cybersecurity threats shaping our digital future — empowering organisations to act with clarity and confidence."
Christian Wanda is a cybersecurity researcher and consultant with a focus on threat intelligence, emerging technology risk, and the intersection of artificial intelligence and offensive security. He founded Cyber Acumen to bring independent, high-quality research to organisations navigating an increasingly complex threat environment.
Christian's research spans nation-state threat actors, AI-powered attack methodologies, supply chain vulnerabilities, and the security implications of frontier technologies including large language models, quantum computing, and autonomous systems. His work is informed by years of hands-on technical analysis and engagement with the broader cybersecurity community.
Based in Brisbane, Australia, Christian works with clients across the public and private sectors — providing intelligence briefings, research engagements, and advisory services tailored to the specific threat profiles of each organisation.
How we work
Principles that guide our research
Independence
Our research is vendor-neutral and free from commercial bias, ensuring findings reflect the true threat landscape.
Rigour
Every assessment is grounded in primary research, open-source intelligence, and hands-on technical analysis.
Foresight
We focus on emerging and frontier threats — the risks organisations will face tomorrow, not just the ones they face today.
